Head for the Blackberries The fox and I were both hunting around the blackberry patches in the early morning, for rabbits to eat. It was the last few days of December, and those spring bunnies of only a few months ago had grown up and reached nearly full size, but still looked nice and tender. Text and photography by David Duffy. |

Cape York - The Last Frontier It had been some time now since we were back up in the last frontier, so setting up camp beside a crocodile infested river was exciting all over again. My son Scott and real good friends Todd and Murray were along too and probably as excited as me. Maybe not quite so excited I suppose as this was to be my first hunt after my serious accident seven months prior. Text and photography by Ted Mitchell Snr. |

Wonnangatta Backpacking for a week in Australia’s most famous sambar hunting location. Text and photography Ben Sullivan. |

Coloured Coats & Rugged Horns The thought of goat hunting conjures sights of solid billies with thick heavy horns and long burr infested shaggy coats; of that strong heavy scent of goats drifting to your nose and the bleating calls of colourful nannies to playful kids. Text and photography by Adrian Kenney. |

Outfoxing Brno Zbrojovka Brno commenced serial production of the ZKW 465 Hornet repeating rifle in 1946. A lightweight .222 Remington calibre version – ZKB 680 Fox – was first manufactured in 1971. From 1956 to 1966, Krico of West Germany built Brno Hornet-type rifles – lock, stock, and barrel – in both calibres … outfoxing the Czechs. Text By Gary Przibilla. Photography by Pat Quin. |

The Professional Hunter It can take a safari or two in the Northern Territory or Cape York to begin to understand and appreciate the position of a Professional Hunter (PH), especially when it comes to hunting dangerous game and the safety of the client. Text and photography by Sam Garro. |

Tasmanian Fallow ... No Complaining There’s no better feeling than looking through your scope and seeing your trophy fall straight onto the ground, less than a moment after you squeezed the trigger. All of your hard work paid off with a clean shot. Text and photography by Elise Jurasovic. |

A Pheasant Encounter The time of year? July. The place? Ondra Pheasants, western Victoria. The hunters? Well; what an eclectic bunch we were! Text and photography by Tim Blackwell. |
